A Note From Brett Braley
Strawberry shortcake at the Fourth of July. Mashing the bananas for your mom's bread on the weekend. Buying a whoopie pie (or "gobs" if you're from Pennsylvania) at the gas station across from your high school. We all have memories like these. We share them. We invest in them. We try to recreate them. It's the only baking I know how to do. This feed will be used to explore and highlight many of the classic and traditional American desserts from my childhood, because I know I can't be the only one who's nostalgic for a good slice (okay, slab) of a lemon bar now and then.
