Italian food is comfort food. It's fresh pasta and and rustic tarts still warm from the oven. It's recipes passed down from generation to generation. No one, you see, does home cooking quite like Italy. When I think of my favourite Italian dishes, they are exquisite in their simplicity. They're seasonal and fresh, not because it's fashionable, but because Italy has a way of eating born from local produce and market stalls, a style of cooking that is nostalgic, convivial, and always delicious.
