Totally unplanned, because it's been like an infirmary over here. We even spit-shined Stella and got her out of her pajamas because she's past the acute stage of mono and it felt too important not to. Sending lots of love + peace to everyone.

Salted Caramel Brown Butter Blondies | Loaded with bits of chocolate, a hit of espresso and flecked with sea salt flakes. I like 'em super ooey gooey and so after a brief spell cooling on the counter I put them in the fridge...it helps them set + retain that gooey factor. Plus it helps me get that clean cut. I think it's a sign of maturity that I could wait that long to cut them.

When @lindt_chocolate + @thefeedfeed asked me to create a dessert for the Golden Globes I channeled my inner J.Lo and my mind immediately went to dark chocolate, champagne and edible gold leaf. Because, naturally… I am BEYOND excited to share this cake with you all!! Gold leaf can be a wee fussy to work with, but we do some deep breaths, yoga poses, sip some champagne and get through it.
