This North African grain can be found in a range of dishes like pilafs, salads, soups, and more. The most popular variety cooks in just five minutes with a 1 to 1 ratio of couscous to water or stock. Just boil the chosen liquid, add the couscous in with a little butter, cover it and turn off the heat. Once five minutes has passed you're all set to go to add flavorings like herbs, spices, and vegetables.
