I was recently at Gramercy Tavern’s barroom in New York with a group of friends. As I scanned the extensive wine, beer and spirits list I stopped on the section entitled “non-alcoholic” and decided to go for this gem: the GINGER SWIZZLE. When it came to our table it looked like something straight out of my dreams. A ton of ice, bubbly ginger soda, and dozens of mint leaves muddled and brimming over the edge of the glass. The flavor was intensely refreshing. And guess what: I drank four in a row. Zero limitations. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to bring delicious and healthy “mocktails” to the table. I like to replace the alcohol with things like 100% fruit juice, healthy energy drinks or kombucha.
