"This Minneola Paloma with Spiced Minneola Syrup is warm, bright, and refreshing like sunshine in a glass. Minneola tangelos, also referred to as ‘minneolas,’ are what you’d get if a grapefruit and a tangerine had a sweet, tart, plump and super juicy citrus baby! Made with heavenly Sunkist minneola tangelos and fresh lemon juice, this cocktail has a bright and tangy citrus flavor that is balanced beautifully by a rich and warm spiced syrup simmered with the slightly bitter peel of the fruit. And we didn’t stop there with our love of Sunkist minneolas! To highlight each element and layer of this beautiful fruit, this beverage also calls for a minneola zest sugar rim, in which the zest of the minneola is rubbed between your fingers with coarse turbinado sugar until an incredibly fragrant orange sugar develops. It’s the perfect complement to each sip. Reposado tequila adds notes of vanilla, honey, and toasted nuts, making this drink incredibly smooth as it hits the palate. Not drinking alcohol? No problem! This cocktail makes an equally delicious mocktail, sans tequila. Garnish your preferred version of this Minneola Paloma with a bright minneola peel, and make a toast…to the magical minneola! *Store leftover sugar and syrup in jars in the refrigerator for baking, oatmeal, teas, and more."
