- 1 store-bought 15X10-inch pizza crust dough, rolled out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can Muir Glen Diced Tomatoes with Basil and Garlic, drained
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
- 15 fresh thinly sliced basil leaves, divided
- Olive oil, for drizzling
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional), to taste
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Step 2
Arrange diced tomatoes evenly onto pizza dough, sprinkle with garlic powder, and top with shredded and sliced mozzarella cheese. Top with half the sliced basil.
Step 3
Bake for about 20 minutes, or until crust reaches desired crispness. Top with remaining fresh basil, drizzle with a little olive oil and a pinch of Kosher salt. Slice and serve.
