Green beans, string beans, haricot verts, call them what you will, this legume is delicious both raw when freshly picked off the plant, or cooked in a classic green bean casserole (and of course anything and everything between). It requires minimal cooking time when adding it to a salad or as a simple side, just a quick blanch will bring out the sweetness and leave a little crunch!
