Thank you so much for the love on my previous post of the Blood Orange Curd Tart! It is one of my favorite creations and I was overwhelmed with your response ! It is sooooo cold, rainy and gloomy here in the Bay Area and a good cuppa Thandai spiced White Hot Chocolate with a peppermint marshmallow would be the perfect treat right now ! Thandai powder is a spiced powder consisting of almonds, pistachios, cashews, fennel seeds, dried rose petals, black peppercorns, poppy seeds, star anise, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg. It will warm you up instantly with the White Hot Chocolate and all the winter spices! Go make yourself a cup soon !

Happy 2017! This is my first post for the new year, using ingredients currently available in the market, with this healthy, delicious Winter Lentil Salad! The salad has lentils, roasted butternut squash, red onions, cara cara oranges, baby kale, cilantro, mint, parsley, hazelnuts, all coated in red wine vinegar, olive oil, s&p. The butternut squash was tossed with cardamom, smoked paprika, ancho chile, salt and is so flavorful! I ate some as soon as they came out of the oven ! But then the drizzle on the top takes this salad to the next level! It’s a herbed yogurt drizzle that has greek yogurt, sour cream, lime juice, cilantro, parsley, garlic and salt.Thankfully I made a bulk portion so I can enjoy it for the next couple of days! #feedfeed #contest #sunbasket

Few more days left to ring in the New Year! This year has gone by too quickly! So much to contemplate about and at the same time look forward to what the new year brings in store! I am working on my last blog post of the year 2016 with two recipes in one! One of them is this super delicious and chic appetizer - Savory bites with Goat Cheese and @thejamlab's Blood Orange and RosemaryMarmalade! The savory cookies have fresh rosemary and thyme and perfectly complement the tangy goat cheese and slightly bitter sweet marmalade! You could use any savory jam or marmalade or a pepper jelly as well ! Make these bite size hor d'oeuvres for your guests and bring in the new year with a bang !

Acorn and butternut squash raviolis prepped and ready to be cooked! This was part of our thanksgiving meal and super duper delicious! The filling was smoked paprika spiced and roasted acorn and butternut squash, nutmeg, pine nuts, walnuts, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, egg, fried shallots, garlic, s&p. It was my first time making fresh pasta dough! I don't know why I have been intimidated by it for so long but I finally let that feeling go this weekend! Who knew it would be soooo easy to put it together?! No complications like baking, and such a fun process! I made spaghetti and tagliatelle as well along with the ravioli and had a blast! Thanks for the inspiration from @displacedhousewife @chezlarae and @beyondsweetandsavory who make fresh pasta quite often!

The Panzanella salad is from the Tuscan region of Italy and originally consists of stale bread and tomatoes, onions, basil, oil and vinegar. My take on this salad is a gorgeous autumn inspired panzanella salad with oven crusted bread, oven roasted delicata squash, green and red apples, pomegranate seeds, brussels sprouts, salted maple pumpkin seeds, herbed goat cheese, crispy sage drizzled with an apple cider-maple-garlic vinaigrette. It would perfect for Thanksgiving too , don't you think.

I am so excited to get the opportunity to partner with @ballarini_usa and @thefeedfeed with this beautiful, heavy duty pan from Ballarini, to make my Autumn Panzanella Salad! The pan has a unique feature where the indicator turns red, when it is ready, and you can sauté your food within minutes, because of it's ability to heat the pan evenly for faster, even cooking! With the bread and squash in the oven, I was able to get the brussels sprouts sautéed in the pan within a couple of minutes, roast the salted maple pumpkin seeds within a minute, and fry the sage within a minute as well, toss it all together in a large bowl and your salad is good to go! Absolutely delicious taste of all the fall flavors in one bowl ! A must make this season!
