I grew up with close knit family living in the UK ???????? and my brother and I have been huge fans of British candy ???????? chocolate and bakes! I would hear my aunts say - “double cream” “soda bicarb” “glucose syrup” “treacle” and I ofcourse didn’t get it when I was young. Over time I understood the terms, when I got into baking. When @thebakefeed came out with the British Issue, it made me have all the feels! It is seriously a brilliant issue and I loved it! I love the Lingo section explaining American and British terms! I made the Sticky Toffee Pudding with the Butterscotch Sauce! I added rum in the sauce and this whole dessert is the bomb!!! I am in a healthy mode right now but my baking experiments will commence soon! Thai Tofu Coconut Noodle Soup(Khao Soi) ?would be perfect in this winter cold ❄️! ?It is seriously a less than 30 minute meal with the goodness of fresh veggies like broccoli, red onions, red bell pepper, green peas, scallions, garlic ginger, lemongrass, cilantro and thai basil?! A feast for the senses! I used store bought thai red curry paste, but you could make your own! Being vegetarian I added tofu, but you could add in any protein you like!
