Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cup sliced mushroom
  • 1 (3.5-ounce) bag Success Rice Boil-in-Bag Brown Rice
  • 1 shallot, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Chili powder, to taste
  • Grated parmesan cheese, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

Cook the Success Rice Boil-in-Bag Brown Rice according to the instructions on the packaging.

  • Step 2

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and a pinch of salt, sautéing them for about 3 minutes until they start to brown.

  • Step 3

Add the diced shallot, chopped garlic, and unsalted butter to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 1 minute until the shallots are translucent and fragrant.

  • Step 4

Season the mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder, adjusting the amounts to your taste preferences. Continue sautéing for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  • Step 5

Turn off the heat and set the skillet aside.

  • Step 6

Once the brown rice is fully cooked, combine it with the sautéed mushroom mixture in the skillet.

  • Step 7

Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the rice and mushroom mixture according to your taste preference.

  • Step 8

Gently stir everything together to ensure the ingredients are well combined and the cheese is melted.
