Recipe Card
ingredients
- 1 bulb of garlic
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- handful of grated parmesan
- pinch of salt,
- pinch of pepper,
- 1 baguette
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Step 2
Drizzle the garlic bulb with olive oil and sprinkle over sea salt. Wrap in foil and roast in the oven for 30 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Step 3
Put the soft butter into a bowl and add the parsley, olive oil, chili flakes, parmesan and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Mash everything together using a fork. Squeeze the roasted garlic out of the bulb and mash it into the butter.
Step 4
Slice the baguette in half lengthways and cut each half into 3 pieces (I like to trim off the ends). Spread a generous amount of garlic butter on each slice. Sprinkle over extra grated parmesan.
Step 5
Bake the garlic bread for 12-14 minutes until golden and enjoy immediately.
