1 pound dry french lentils
3/4 cup pitted medjool dates
1/2 cup cashews
3/4 cup chopped dark chocolate
1/2 cup dry white wine (or replace with chicken stock)
1 (15 ounce) can stout (or replace with chicken stock)
3 hot Italian sausages, casings removed
4 caprese-style sausages
