Our Favorite Show Stopping Desserts
It wasn't until I started watching a certain UK-based baking show that I noticed the difference between a classic, wholesome dessert and a show stopping dessert. Oh my, when I see something extravagant and flashy I automatically gravitate towards it. That's why now when I have people over, I always keep in mind a show stopping moment, whether that's a beautifully presented dessert, an interesting flavor profile or simply a theme. Listed below are some of the desserts I've already made or are on my wish list to make for the next dinner party.

Pavlovas have a bad rap. Many think they are too high maintenance or too sweet.  But the trick is just to be attentive to the baking time. Low and slow wins the race here. Pair the sweetness of the meringue with tart stone fruits like peaches and voila!
