Oven Baked Chicken Thighs with Creamy Garlic Sauce

For the chicken


  • 5 chicken thighs, skinless & boneless
  • 1 teaspoon 21 Salute Seasoning, or any poultry seasoning
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

For the creamy sauce


  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Piave PDO Cheese, finely grated
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons dill, finely chopped for garnish


  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 357°F. Season chicken thighs with 21 Salute Seasoning, salt and pepper, to taste.

  • Step 2

    Using an oven-proof skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken thighs and sear for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, on both sides. Transfer onto a plate and set aside.

  • Step 3

    Into the same skillet add butter. After the butter melts, add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute, stirring a few times.

  • Step 4

    Next, sprinkle flour and stir for 1 minute. Slowly pour in chicken broth, stir continuously until the sauce starts to thicken, about 1 minute.

  • Step 5

    Next stir in heavy whipping cream, then add Piave PDO cheese and give a good stir, if needed season with salt and pepper to taste. Return chicken back to the skillet and bake for 30-35 minutes, uncovered, or until chicken is cooked through.

  • Step 6

    Garnish with dill and grated Piave PDO cheese on top. Enjoy!
