This simple homemade popcorn recipe is a super fun, sensory experience your whole family will love to take part in! All it takes to create your new favorite snack is a little oil, some popcorn kernels, and zesty Backyard Barbecue spice blend from the new line Bold by Will Coleman. Don't be afraid of cooking over a moderately high heat, just shake the pan frequently to prevent scalding and allow it to evenly pop.

- 2 tablespoons high-heat neutral oil (such as avocado oil)
- 1 cup popcorn kernels
- 3 tablespoons Backyard Barbecue spice blend
- Fine sea salt or popcorn salt, to taste
Method
Step 1
Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add 3 popcorn kernels, then cover with a tight fitting lid. Once kernels pop, add remaining kernels and shake pan to coat kernels in oil. Cover pan and cook over medium-high or high heat, shaking frequently to allow kernels to pop evenly, about 8-10 minutes.
Step 3
Once popcorn is all popped, remove from heat (be careful of the steam!) and transfer to a large bowl. Sprinkle Bold BBQ spice blend and sea salt over popcorn, tossing until well coated.
Step 4
Serve popcorn immediately or allow to cool completely, then store in an air-tight container.
