As I write to you, I am in FeedfeedBrooklyn, chatting with coworkers about our plans for the weekend over a cup of peppermint tea. The soundtrack of A Star Is Born is on repeat. (In case you haven’t noticed from our IG stories, it’s a thing for #TeamFeedfeed.) Yep, it’s mid-afternoon tea time, which has become a lovely daily tradition where we recap on our lives, share inspiration from our community and geek out over food. Today, we chatted, giggled and consumed large amounts of Mei Yee’s Creamy Chocolate Ganache Tart—this week’s Community Recipe of the Day. Mei Yee has been a community member for quite some time, always sharing approachable vegan recipes that are all beautifully presented and this chocolate ganache tart is no different. This recipe is for my gluten free friends out there. I never want you to feel neglected, so when I share a recipe with you, you best know it’s going to be damn delicious! Let’s dive in.

This recipe is raw which is great in terms of very little cooking time (you will need to melt chocolate), but you WILL have to be patient as the recipe calls for the tart to set in the fridge, overnight! Shown in the image above, this tart is adorned with luscious cherries. But it’s the first day of March, and cherries are not an option. But we can find some really delicious pomegranates to gild this tart and that’s just what I did. Okurrr?!

If you’re not a fan of pomegranates (I have questions), you can supreme some blood oranges, or top with any citrusy or tart fruits but I do HIGHLY recommend that you do. This tart is rich in chocolate and coconut, pleasantly sweet with the date and maple-ly crust so you will need something to cut through all that.

Honestly, this was the easiest recipe I’ve made yet. It came together within 20 minutes and would be a lovely addition to any dinner party, brunch or tea party. What’s spilling the tea without a chocolatey confection! -- Sahara Bohoskey, Community Manager
