ingredients
- 3 cups sushi rice, cooked
- 1 pound sushi grade tuna (combination lean and fatty), diced into small cubes
- 1/2 cup Kewpie Mayo
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 scallions, finely chopped
- 1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 avocado, mashed
Method
Step 1
Form the cooked sushi rice into patties and set aside.
Step 2
Combine the mayonnaise, sriracha, soy soy sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the cubed tuna with the spicy mayonnaise.
Step 4
Heat 1-2 inches oil in a frying pan and fry the rice patties for a few minutes on each side (until golden and crisp). Transfer to a paper towel lined plate.
Step 5
Assemble the spicy tuna bites: top the crispy rice patties with smashed avocado and a teaspoon or so of the spicy tuna mixture. Top with sesame seeds and scallions to garnish. Serve and enjoy.
