  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs, divided
  • 1 cup caster sugar, plus 1 ½ tablespoon caster sugar
  • 1 1/4 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons Nutella®
  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, optional*

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a 12” cast iron skillet vegetable oil.

  • Step 2

    In a mixing bowl, mix together egg yolks, 1 ½ tablespoon caster sugar, honey and vanilla extract.

  • Step 3

    Sift in cake flour. Mix until the cake flour is just combined.

  • Step 4

    In a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, add egg whites and beat until peaks form. Fold in remaining ¼ cup caster sugar.

  • Step 5

    Gently fold egg white mixture into the egg yolk-flour mixture until incorporated.

  • Step 6

    Pour mixture into greased skillet and bake for 18-20 minutes. The center should be done and the pancake should be slightly jiggly.

  • Step 7

    Transfer Nutella® into a piping bag. Drizzle Nutella® on top. If desired, top with sliced strawberries.
