Thanks to our friends at the French Ministry of Agriculture, we got to take a tour around France earlier this month from the comfort of FeedfeedBrooklyn!  We visited Provence, Aveyron, Paris, Poitou Charentes, Lorraine and several points in between via an all-inclusive menu inspired by the foods originating in each of these regions.

Guests were greeted with a glass of Côté Mas Crémant de Limoux Rosé Brut from the southern coast of France and snacked on Soignon Whipped Goat Cheeses and Oysters Mignonette embodying coastal region of Poitou Charentes.  A cheese bar featuring a selection of Président® Cheeses and Sea Salt Butter brought us to Aveyron, France and rounded out the start of our evening!

Everyone also got a chance to partake in French culture by creating their own potpourri at a dried flower station, snagging their own street art as a painter crafted spontaneous portraits, and chatting it up with a mime who found his way to our Parisian bistro.

Then, guest speaker and friend of Feedfeed Christopher Tracy led us through a regional tasting course, which was curated to illustrate that what grows together, goes together.  We tasted Château d’Esclans Rock Angel Rosé, Domaines Barons De Rothschild Lafite Légende Pauillac and Saget La Perrière Blanc Fume de Pouilly as we warmed up our palettes before dinner!

Our dinner started with craveable French classics including French Onion Soup and bites of Croque Monsieur made with Bakerly French Brioche plus Salad Aveyronnaise with Société® Roquefort from Aveyron.

Then we moved on to more supremely satiating French staples including Pommes Persillade with La Conviette Butter, Cod Provençal paired with Château d’Esclans Rock Angel Rosé for a classic taste of Provence, plus Coq Au Vin.

To end the night with a sweet treat, we paired St Michel Classic Madeleines from Lorraine, France, with Chocolat Chaud and Palais Des Thés assorted teas.
We loved welcoming Feedfeed community members on behalf of our partner, French Ministry of Agriculture!  You will notice their signage, Made in France with Love, at your regular grocery store, and you won’t regret giving these incredibly delicious brands a try!
