Chocolate Covered Almond Date Bars

  • 10 dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, semi-sweet
  • 1/3 cup almonds, dry roasted
  • 3 tablespoon almond butter
  • Pinch of salt to taste


  • Step 1

    Pit your dates, unless they come already pitted. Make sure none of them have the seeds inside.

  • Step 2

    Once finished with pitting the dates. Fill the date with a bit of almond butter and add 1 almond per date, close them and set aside.

  • Step 3

    Add chocolate chips in a small bowl, melt them in the microwave or melt over low heat in a small pot.

  • Step 4

    Let the melted chocolate cool for a few minutes before dipping each date in the chocolate. Make sure the date is fully coated in chocolate.

  • Step 5

    Once the dates are coated in chocolate, place on a plate to cool.

  • Step 6

    Refrigerate the covered dates for 30 mins in the freezer.

    Enjoy as a small snack anytime!
