  • 3 cups EPIC Homestyle Savory Chicken Bone Broth
  • 2 roma tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoon neutral oil
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • Cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water)
  • Soy sauce, to taste
  • ⅛ teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 scallion, thinly sliced for serving

Method

  • Step 1

    In a bowl, beat the egg and set aside.

  • Step 2

    In another bowl, make your cornstarch slurry until dissolved.

  • Step 3

    In a pot, add in oil and tomatoes. Cook for 3-4 minutes until tomatoes break down.

  • Step 4

    Add in garlic. Stir to mix and let cook for 1-2 minutes.

  • Step 5

    Pour EPIC Homestyle Savory Chicken Bone Broth into the pot. Bring to a light boil.

  • Step 6

    Stir in sesame oil and soy sauce.

  • Step 7

    Mix the cornstarch slurry and pour into pot. Stir well and allow the broth to simmer for another 1-2 minutes.

  • Step 8

    Turn the heat off. Stir the broth and slowly pour in the egg at the same time.

  • Step 9

    Ladle soup into bowls, season with white pepper. Garnish with scallions and serve immediately.
