With its long history in various international countries, Chinese food is something that most people think they know. But with over five centuries of history as well as a vast landscape and climate, the depth and breadth of Chinese cuisine is almost unparalleled. Each geographical area has its own distinct style of cooking and local ingredients. Food is such an important part of the national identity that guests, whether expected or unexpected, are always greeted with, "have you eaten?" I hope to bring to this feed recipes that showoff the wide diversity of Chinese food, as well as recipes that have been passed down and loved by generations of Chinese people gathered around the family dinner table.
