Flaky Vodka Pie Crust
"Heading off to Vermont this weekend and excited to spend time with some of my oldest friends. But top priority is making pie this weekend. Looking forward to cooking with my friends and taking a much needed break from the city. Will figure out filling based on what we see at the farmers market Saturday morning but for pie crust... I've been messing around with my own new vodka pâte brisée recipe. Turns out like a shortening crust without the shortening. More tender and flaky than typical all butter. I used it for the tomato tart but want to see how it turns out with pie. Fingers crossed! (Ps def bringing my @williamssonoma pie cutters with me) My Peach Pie from the 4th of July."
