The Bloody Mary Bar of Your #SundayFunday Dreams
It’s that time of year again and we couldn’t be happier.
Football is back and #SundayFunday will soon be in full effect. If your idea of a perfect Game Day is less about a Hail Mary and more about a Bloody Mary, we’ve got a recipe you’ll love. We’re sharing our tried and true scratch Bloody Mary mix so you can set up a DIY bar for your friends this weekend. The more over-the-top the garnishes are, the better. Think Lobster, Grilled Cheese, Shrimp Cocktail, etc. Go big or go home. Added bonus: you can sit on your couch in sweatpants while imbibing!
feedfeed Bloody Mary Mix:
1 32 oz jar Tomato Juice (We prefer to use an organic, low-sodium one, but anything you can find will work)
1 cup pickle juice
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
couple dashes of Worcestershire sauce
couple dashes of tamari
couple dashes of hot sauce of choice
Juice & zest of 1 lemon
Juice & zest of 1 lime
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
freshly cracked black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well. Chill for at least an hour before serving.
Note: You may want to thin the mixture with ½ -1 cup water depending on the viscosity of the tomato juice.
Garnishes for the Bloody Mary Bar:
Celery Sticks, Lemon & Lime Wedges, Olives (we love jalapeño stuffed ones!), Cucumbers, Pepperoncini, Mini Grilled Cheese, Shrimp Cocktail, Cooked Lobster Claws, Sliders, etc!
Directions for the Garnishes:
Prep all of the accoutrements into ramekins or on a platter with food picks.
Set out a bottle of chilled vodka (add about 2 oz per drink) and a bucket of ice and allow guests to DIY!
