Creamy Hummus

(1)
"🍴Syrian style hummus 🍴 I specify Syrian style because although all hummus is made with just a handful of ingredients, the Syrian version omits an ingredient that’s pretty common in a lot of the other hummus recipes. This version is delicious, simple, and authentic. Im all for the extra garnishes and the new variations of hummus but if you want a super creamy, fluffy, perfectly flavored hummus, this is the one you’ll find in Damascus. Lucky for us all, my mom is still visiting me and im trying to soak in as much info as possible 🤓🤓 There are a couple of tricks I include besides the ice cube trick which I’m sure all of you know about already 😅 to achieve a super creamy yet fluffy and flavorful hummus. I remember summers spent in Damascus where we would go to a busy hummus shop that’s crowded and you basically have to squeeze yourself into a line to place your order and project your voice so it’s heard amongst the other hummus lovers trying to place an order. The big bellied owner then uses a ladle to scoop up the hummus in a plastic bag (not a container) and then ties it into a knot. If anyone has a picture of this please send it to me! Feeling nostalgic 🙃 How do you hummus?"
