ingredients

  • 1 tablespoons Nutella
  • 2 slices of Japanese milk bread
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tabelspoons sugar
  • 5 strawberries, hulled

Method

  • Step 1

Combine heavy cream and sugar in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form, and set aside.

  • Step 2

Using a knife, spread half of the Nutella on each slice of milk bread. On one slice of bread, add a thin layer of whipped cream over top of Nutella.

  • Step 3

Place three strawberries diagonally across the bread with the layer of whipped cream. Place the two strawberries left in the remaining empty corners of the bread.

  • Step 4

Spread the rest of the whipped cream over the strawberries, filling in any gaps between them. Place the other slice of bread on top, Nutella side down.

  • Step 5

Wrap sandwich tightly in plastic wrap and draw a line on the plastic to mark where the strawberries are aligned diagonally. Let the sandwich rest for 5 minutes.

  • Step 6

Unwrap the sandwich and cut off the crusts. Cut the sandwich in half diagonally, according to the line you marked on the plastic. Serve and eat immediately.
