Bagels might seem like an intimidating recipe to try at home, but this 2 ingredient recipe will prove you otherwise. Try it out with ingredients you most likely already have in your kitchen. If you don’t have self rising flour, you can use the same amount of all purpose flour plus 1 teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of salt as an alternative.

Method

  • Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Step 2

In a medium bowl, add 1 cup of self rising flour and 1 cup of Greek yogurt.

  • Step 3

Combine the 2 ingredients and knead well until a dough ball forms.

  • Step 4

Cut the dough into 4 parts, roll into a balls, and make a hole in the middle of each, slowly turning them into bagel shapes.

  • Step 5

Once you’re satisfied with the shape, brush your bagels with some egg wash.

  • Step 6

Now is the time to add any toppings you would like. I added poppy seeds!

  • Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Flip your pan half way. For the last 5-10 minutes, flip your bagels to allow them to cook all the way through.
