Garlic bread is one food we could eat every day. In this version, bread is lathered with a generous amount of butter and herbs before it is quickly baked. 

Serve garlic bread alongside Spicy Arrabiata and Summer Fruit Panzanella for a perfect spring entertaining spread.

ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian or French bread
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
  • 6 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1/4 cup parsley, grated
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • salt, to taste

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat over 425 degrees.

  • Step 2

    To a bowl combine melted butter, softened butter, grated garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt and mix until a paste like consistency forms. Add parsley, and Parmesan cheese, mix again.

  • Step 3

    Cut the loaf in half, horizontally. Spread all of the butter mixture over the two bread halves.

  • Step 4

    Bake for 10-15 mins at 425 degrees. Broil for 3-5 mins until lightly golden around the edges and slightly crispy.

  • Step 5

    Remove from the oven, allow bread to cool for a minute. Remove from your pan and use a bread knife to cut bread halves into 1-inch thick slices. Serve while hot, enjoy!
