Potato Mixture
ingredients
- 4 potatoes
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
- 5 tablespoons corn starch
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt,
- oil, for frying
Dipping Sauce:
ingredients
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
- small handful of fresh parsley
Method
Step 1
Bring a large pot of water to a full boil. While water is heating up, peel potatoes then add to water. Boil for 8 minutes. Remove the potatoes from water and allow to cool.
Step 2
Once cooled, grate the potatoes into large shreds using a stand grater. Grate block of mozzarella cheese until you get one cup of cheese. Combine shredded potatoes and cheese into a large bowl, and add cornstarch, egg, and salt. Mix to combine until all ingredients are incorporated.
Step 3
Scoop out medium-sized rounds of potatoes onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes.
Step 4
While potatoes are firming up, combine all dipping sauce ingredients into a small bowl and set aside.
Step 5
Remove hash browns from freezer and fry until golden brown. Place on a paper towel lined plate to absorb access oil. Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
