(9)

A Note from Feedfeed

Crispy, savory, and slightly spicy, this buttermilk "fried" chicken and waffles recipe is a healthy take on a classic comfort food pairing. The chicken is marinated in a tangy "buttermilk" mixture and coated in a flavorful blend of spices before being baked to perfection. Paired with protein-packed waffles, this dish is perfect for a hearty brunch or dinner.

Recipe Description

The soy-buttermilk marinade tenderizes the chicken while infusing it with flavor, making each bite juicy and delicious. The dry batter adds a crispy texture, and the protein waffles provide a hearty base for the chicken. Serve this dish with maple syrup and hot sauce for a sweet and spicy contrast. Garnish with fresh herbs or a sprinkle of sea salt for an extra touch of flavor. For a complete meal, consider serving it with fresh fruit, a green salad, pickles, coleslaw, cornbread, baked beans, mac and cheese, or sweet potato fries to round out the flavors and textures.
