Cake for one please! This small batch recipe is perfect for when you're home alone binge watching movies and craving just a little bit of chocolate cake. This recipe is gluten and dairy free, but feel free to replace the egg with vegan substitute!

  • 1 tablespoon coconut flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon apple sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 banana, mashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon mini chocolate chip


  • Step 1

    Start by mixing together all the ingredients except the chocolate chips in a small bowl or mug.

  • Step 2

    Then, mix the chocolate chips into your mug cake batter.

  • Step 3

    Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top and microwave for about 2.5 minutes. Top with whipped cream, almond butter, and more chocolate and ENJOY!
