ingredients
- 12 Medjool dates
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate
- 1 cup almonds (roasted or plain)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, for garnish
Method
Step 1
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Pit the dates by using a sharp knife to cut lengthwise. Pull open and flatten (kind of looks like a butterfly), removing pits and laying them out, sticky side up.
Step 3
Add the chocolate to a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second bursts, stirring in between, until melted.
Step 4
Drizzle about 1 teaspoon of chocolate per cluster, stick 3-4 almonds per date, drizzle 1 tablespoon of melted chocolate on top. Garnish with sesame seeds. Let them sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving. *Refrigerate in an airtight container if you plan to use them within 30 days.
