Breakfast
Tricolored waffles? Even if the flavors weren’t so divine I’d check it out because of the different colors!

RECIPE:

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbs brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup of milk
2 eggs (large)
4 tbs unsalted butter, melted
1 tbs cocoa
1 tbs matcha powder
Few drops of vanilla extract

1. In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and set aside.
2. In a smaller bowl whisk eggs and milk.
3. Pour wet ingredients into the dry ones and whisk gently to combine (try not to overmix).
4. Finally stir in gently melted butter.
5. To make one chocolate waffle pour ½ cup of waffle batter into a separate bowl and mix with cocoa powder.
6. To make one matcha waffle pour ½ cup of waffle batter into a separate bowl and mix with matcha powder.
7. Add a few drops of vanilla extract to the remaining batter.
8. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
9. Once ready cook waffles 2 to 3 minutes each. For a standard waffle iron pour ½ cup of batter into the center spreading it gently to within ½ inch of edges and close. Serve with golden syrup, honey, fresh fruit or any topping you like.
