Just when we thought a Chicken Caesar Salad Sandwich couldn't get any better, The Naughty Fork swapped bread for croissants in this genious creation. The result? Everything you know and love about a chicken caesar salad nestled between two buttery, flakey croissant halves. We'll be using croissants as bread from here on out!

ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp garlic salt
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp hot sauce
- 2 chicken thighs
- 2 croissants
- 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 tbsp crushed capers
- 3 crushed anchovies
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp red wine vinegar
- dash of Worcestershire
- dash of Tabasco
- 3 tbsp freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 freshly chopped iceberg lettuce
- 1 tbsp butter
Method
Step 1
Salt and pepper your chicken thighs and refrigerate for 30 min
Step 2
Make the egg mixture. In a shallow bowl, combine 2 eggs, 1 cup buttermilk, and 2 tbsp hot sauce. Set aside.
Step 3
Make the flour mixture. In a shallow bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 1 tbsp garlic salt, 1 tbsp paprika, 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper, and1/2 tsp pepper. Set aside.
Step 4
Dredge your boneless thighs in your egg mixture, then your flour mixture and repeat once more. Fry for 8-10 minutes (or until golden brown). Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to dry.
Step 5
Make the caesar salad. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 egg yolk and 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard. Slowly add 2 tbsp olive oil, whisking continuously.
Step 6
Add in your minced garlic, crushed capers, crushed Anchovies, Lemon juice, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire, Tabasco, and 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan. Mix in freshly chopped iceberg lettuce.
Step 7
Lightly brush your croissant with melted butter and top with 1 tbsp grated Parmesan. Bake in the oven at 350F for 5 mins.

Assemble your sandwich and enjoy!
