A perfect pear, indeed! This fruity cocktail is loaded with Bulliet Bourbon and warm, vanilla & toffee notes that are best enjoyed in a winter wonderland! Finish it off with your favorite herb and you're good to go!
- 2 ounces Bulleit Bourbon
- 3/ 4 ounces lemon juice
- 3/ 4 ounces thyme syrup, (recipe below)
- Seltzer, to finish
- Pear, sliced, for garnish
- Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish
- Cinnamon stick, for garnish
In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, add Bulleit Bourbon, lemon juice, thyme syrup, pear bitters.
Close the shaker and shake vigorously until well chilled,2 minutes. Double strain the cocktail into a cocktail glass filled with ice. Top with seltzer, then garnish with pear slices, thyme sprigs and cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.
For the Thyme Syrup:
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 bunch of thyme leaves
In a small pot, add syrup ingredients with 2 cups of water and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and steep for 10 minutes. Using a fine-mesh strainer, strain the syrup and set aside. Use as needed.
