ingredients
- 5 tablespoons Coarsely Ground Coffee
- 7 cups Cold water
- 1 pinch kosher salt
Method
Step 1
Combine salt, coffee, and cold water in an airtight container. Salt helps to cut the bitterness of the coffee, but feel free to omit it if you like. I also like to switch it up depending on the seasons and add orange zest, or cinnamon, or some ground cloves. All depending on which flavors you enjoy.
Step 2
Let sit overnight in the fridge.
Step 3
Strain. I'll typically strain mine two times to make sure it doesn't have any coffee grounds or sediment anywhere in it. I have yet to find anyone that enjoys getting to the bottom of the cup and getting coffee grounds in their teeth. I like to add a splash of almond or hazelnut milk and call it a day. Fun fact, cold brew also has more caffeine than regular iced coffee, so this should get your day started off right and keep you going! Enjoy!
