ingredients
- 3 slices uncooked bacon
- 1 cup Cascadian Farm Organic Frozen Broccoli Florets
- 1 (9 inch) premade pie crust
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- Kosher salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 ounces (about 3/4 cup) Gruyère cheese, freshly shredded
- Parmesan cheese (optional), for garnish
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Step 2
Slice bacon into 1-inch pieces and cook in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Step 3
In the same skillet, add Cascadian Farm Organic Frozen Broccoli Florets and sauté for 5–7 minutes, or until softened. Set aside.
Step 4
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt and black pepper until well combined.
Step 5
Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Evenly layer in the cooked bacon, sautéed broccoli, and shredded Gruyère. Pour the egg mixture over the top.
Step 6
Transfer to the oven and bake for 40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden.
Step 7
Remove from oven, top with freshly grated Parmesan (if using), and let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
