Garlic Knots
"I’m not a huge sports fan, but I do love game day snacks. One of my favorite finger foods being garlic knots! These are little twists of dough that have been baked to crispy perfection and then brushed with melted garlic butter. Serve them with a warm marinara dipping sauce and enjoy!"

ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons Instant Yeast
  • 1 cup 120 Degree Water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon minced Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley

Method

  • Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and yeast. Add in the 120 degree water and olive oil - stir to combine.

  • Step 2

Knead for 5 minutes and place in a large greased bowl, covered with plastic wrap. Place in a warm spot to rise for 1 hour.

  • Step 3

Once the dough has risen, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Grease and lightly flour a large sheet pan.

  • Step 4

Break off a ping pong ball sized piece of dough and roll it into a 5-6 in rope. Tie this rope into a little knot and place it on your baking sheet. Continue to do this with the rest of your dough. They might seem too small, but they will increase in size as they bake.

  • Step 5

Bake for 15 minutes. (You might need to bake them in batches depending on the size of your sheet pan.)

  • Step 6

Once baked, place the knots on a cooling rack with some parchment paper underneath. In a small bowl combine the melted butter, garlic powder, minced garlic and parsley. Brush this mixture on top of each knot.

  • Step 7

Serve your garlic knots with some warm marinara dipping sauce and enjoy!
