Garlic Fried Rice

  • 10 cups cooked and cooled day old rice
  • 2 heads garlic, cloves separated with skins smashed but not removed
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste


  • Step 1

    In a large wok heat up the olive oil on medium-high heat. Add in the garlic cloves and cook for 5 minutes until golden brown and fragrant. Add in the rice and stir fry for 5-7 minutes until the rice starts smelling like garlic and starts looking toasty. Season with salt.

  • Step 2

    Note: The rice will need to be made ahead at least 3 days before. Cool it down and then store in the refrigerator until it’s time to cook and serve.
