"Bacon and egg pie for a late breakfast today. Eggs, thick chunks of bacon, topped with dollops of a ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, all encased in sheets of flakey puff pastry, which is baked in the oven until golden. The entire breakfast pie, which made nine large portions, uses a total of 20 eggs! This dish comes from New Zealand. I looked at some photos of this dish and the bacon from New Zealand used in their pies looks different...can anyone shed some light on it?
