"Pizza Sauce is a slightly thicker sauce, than a normal tomato sauce. You can use this sauce as a base to lots of dishes, similar to the Passata di Pomodoro. The main difference is the seasoning. Passata is normally only salted but without other seasonings."

ingredients
- 1 kilo Tomatoes
- 1 chopped Onion
- 3 cloves chopped Garlic
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Oregano
- Rosemary
- 3 tbsp Tomato Paste
Method
Step 1
Cut a cross into the bottom of the tomatoes and put them into boiling hot water for 10 minutes. After that the tomatoes can be peeled easily. Chop the tomatoes.
Step 2
Chop the onion and garlic cloves, fry them in the hot olive oil. Use a deep heavy pan. Add the chopped tomatoes and let simmer for 50 minutes.
Step 3
Now season the sauce and add the tomato paste. Let simmer for another 10 minutes. Then puree with your blender.
Step 4
Tip: – use on Pizzas – use on top of baked Pasta – use as a base to meat Sauces – use as sauce to meatballs – use as base for Tomato Soup
