Classic Lemon Butter Cream Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons Butter or Ghee
  • 1 juice of one Lemon
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Dry White Wine
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 box Pasta of Choice


  • Step 1

    Like all good pasta recipes, melt your butter or ghee in a skillet as you’re cooking your pasta of choice.

  • Step 2

    Once the butter is melted, add your juice of one lemon (no worries, you can always pick out the seeds).

  • Step 3

    Add your dry white wine of choice, let this bubble for 2 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Add your heavy cream a 1/4 cup at a time, whisking in between.

  • Step 5

    It’ll start to thicken, resembling Alfredo sauce.

  • Step 6

    Add your salt, pepper and garlic powder. Let this bubble for 3-4 minutes.

  • Step 7

    Add your cooked pasta of choice (be sure to save some of the starchy pasta water just in case your sauce is too thick!) and toss in the sauce.

  • Step 8

    Top with Parmesan or a sprinkle of extra pepper — even a lemon slice!
