  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Chinese black vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey (or granulated sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons chili oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 8 rice paper wrappers
  • 1/2 cup purple cabbage, thinly shredded
  • 1/2 cup green cabbage, thinly shredded
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced `
  • 1 1/2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded

Method

  • Step 1

    Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together tahini, soy sauce, black vinegar, honey (or sugar), chili oil, and minced garlic until smooth. Set aside.

  • Step 2

    Soften the Rice Paper Wrappers: Fill a shallow dish or large plate with warm water.

  • Step 3

    Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 5–10 seconds until slightly soft but still pliable.

  • Step 4

    Lay it flat on a clean surface or a damp kitchen towel.

  • Step 5

    Assemble the Rolls: Place a small handful of shredded cabbage, carrot, spring onion, avocado slices, and shredded chicken in the center of the rice paper.

  • Step 6

    Drizzle a little bit of the prepared sauce over the filling.

  • Step 7

    Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to seal.

  • Step 8

    Continue the process with the remaining wrappers and fillings.

  • Step 9

    Serve: Slice the rolls in half, if desired, and serve with extra Bang Bang sauce for dipping.
