Baked Dulce De Leche Doughnuts

Baked Doughnuts + Dulce de Leche
8 Doughnuts
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
1 large egg
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dulce de Leche or Chocolate Hazelnut Spread for topping
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a doughnut pan and set aside.
Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
In a small bowl whisk together egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk in the melted butter.
Add the wet ingredients all at once to the dry ingredients. Stir together until it is well combined.
Dollop batter into the prepared pan.
Place in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Once the doughnuts are completely cool, dip top-side-down into melted dulce de leche or chocolate hazelnut spread. Return to the wire rack and sprinkle with toppings.
