ingredients

  • 1 pack of frozen udon noodles, cooked to package directions
  • 5 frozen gyozas, sliced `
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru
  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • handful of spinach
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • a few green onions, for garnish
  • sesame seeds, for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

    Slice up 5 frozen gyozas. If you want a vegan dish just use veggie gyozas!

  • Step 2

    Cook one pack of frozen udon per package instructions then drain water and set aside.

  • Step 3

    Mince 1-2 garlic cloves (about 1 tbsp of minced garlic). Heat up 1-2 tbsp of veggie oil in a pan. Add in minced garlic and sliced shallots. Cook for about 45 seconds or till fragrant on medium-high heat.

  • Step 4

    Add in sliced gyozas and cook for about 1 minute.

  • Step 5

    Add in cooked udon noodles, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, gochugaru and spinach or your favorite greens. Mix well and cook until your greens are fully cooked.

  • Step 6

    Plate then garnish with chopped green onions and roasted sesame seeds.
