Wine and Peaches

This drink is the embodiment of summer! Every summer when I was a kid, I watched my dad make a batch of this wine and peaches that stays chilled in the fridge. The best way to enjoy this summery sipper is to treat it like a dessert- some boozy wine-soaked peaches to eat and refreshing chilled wine to savor. My dad always used an inexpensive chianti, but feel free to use your favorite white wine or rosé instead.

Serves or Makes: 8
- 2 pounds ripe peaches, pitted and thinly sliced
- 1 (750 milliliter) bottle red wine, white wine, or rosé wine
Place sliced peaches in a pitcher and pour wine overtop. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours (or preferably overnight).
Serve a few peach slices into a small wine glass and top with some wine. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
