  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup diced white onion
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/2 pound pulled rotisserie chicken
  • 1 (10 ounce) bag Cascadian Farm Organic Frozen Peas & Carrots

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2

    In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 3 to 5 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Add the celery seed, celery salt, salt, pepper, and flour to the skillet, stirring to combine.

  • Step 4

    Gradually pour in the chicken broth, whisking constantly.

  • Step 5

    Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Spray a muffin tin with olive oil.

  • Step 7

    Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut into 24 squares. Place one square in the bottom of each muffin tin.

    Divide the chicken, Cascadian Farm Organic Frozen Peas & Carrots, and the hot liquid mixture evenly among the muffin tins, on top of the dough.

    Cover the toppings with another dough square, pressing down to seal.

    Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

    Allow to cool slightly before serving.
