Egg In Hole Toast With Caramelized Onions, Thyme, Basil & Red Pepper Flakes

Ingredients:
1 slice of bread
1 organic egg
1 small onion (or half of it)
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Sea salt flakes
Red pepper flakes
Fresh thyme
Fresh basil
Method:
Make a round hole in the center of a slice of bread with your fingers.
Spread 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil on its each sides.
Julienne a small onion (You can use half of it). And coat with 1/2 teaspoon sugar.
Heat a nonstick skillet over low heat with 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil.
Add onion slices and put the bread slice on them. Cook until they are caramelised and the bread toasted.
Turn the other side. Crack an egg and drop it gently in the hole.
Shape a baking paper like a hat and cover the skillet with it. Cook until set but still soft (approximately 3 - 4 minutes).
Season with sea salt and red pepper flakes.
Serve hot with fresh thyme and basil.
