The recipe for shirred eggs is as follows:
Ingredients:
2 large eggs
2 tsps cream
1 1/2 tbs parmesan cheese (give or take)
A pinch of smoked paprika
1 tsp fresh chives
Salt and pepper to taste
Butter for greasing
Method:
Preheat your oven to 190c/375f
Grease the bottom of a ramekin with butter
Pour the cream into the ramekin
Gently crack the eggs into the cream being careful not to break the yolks
Sprinkle in the chives, paprika, salt, and pepper
Layer on the cheese
Bake for 12 minutes
Take it out and let it rest for a couple minutes
Serve immediately after
