- 1 cup crumbled feta
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
- 1 tablespoon hot honey (store-bought or homemade below)
- Chopped roasted pistachios, for topping
- Fresh herbs (such as thyme and sage), for garnish
- Toasted za’atar pita bread (recipe below)
Feta Dip:
Method
Step 1
In a bowl, combine the crumbled feta, cottage cheese, olive oil, and hot honey.
Step 2
Using an immersion blender, blend the ingredients until the mixture becomes thick, rich, and creamy.
Step 3
Transfer the blended mixture to an oven-safe dish and drizzle a bit of olive oil on top.

Preheat the oven's broiler to 500°F.

Place the dish in the oven and broil for about 5 minutes or until the cheese starts bubbling and turns lightly brown.

Once done, remove the dish from the oven.

Top the hot honey-whipped feta dip with chopped roasted pistachios, an additional drizzle of hot honey, and freshly chopped herbs, such as thyme and sage.

Toasted Za'atar Pita Bread (optional):

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Cut the pita bread into triangles and place them in a mixing bowl.

Toss the pita triangles with olive oil and za'atar seasoning until evenly coated.

Spread the seasoned pita triangles on a baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 10 minutes or until they turn golden brown and become fragrant.
Homemade Hot Honey (optional):

In a stovetop pot over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup honey and 1 tablespoon of chili flakes.

Cook the mixture until the honey begins to bubble, then remove it from the heat.
Step 3
Stir in 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and let it infuse for 5 minutes.

Store the hot honey in a glass jar for later use.
